The terrorist attacks of 9-11-2001 have not yet happened, and fashion is exploding to the forefront of mainstream society’s interest for the first time. The general public has gained an interest in supermodels and mega designers and names like Tommy Hilfiger and Versace are quickly becoming household names, not just fashion icons. A new generation of models are coming into their own in an internet driven world of imagery, and these faces are recognizable in every country in the farthest corners of the world. They are the new superstars of fashion, and come from Brazil, Russia, eastern Europe and the United States. Names like Adrianna Lima, Gisele Bundchen, and Natalia Vodianova will soon replace the late 90’s supermodels and “waifs” as the “it” girls for a new decade. This photo essay is one photographers private look into intimate moments with icons, creators, famous faces, the coveted backstage world, and the amazing work done by the top beauty professionals in the world
